As the World Turns

quote These days, it seems like everyone is a belter with a healthy mix à la Casey Likes or Taylor Louderman — talented, of course, but lacking personality. Borderlines, on the other hand, get way too obsessed with people and have an intense need for an identity and the validation of others. Narcissists and histrionics use people for praise and attention. Histrionics are emotional and seductive and love attention but don’t necessarily go on warrior paths the way that BPDs do. What’s the diagnosis for people who always feel compelled to play armchair psychiatrist with celebrities?

I have a few family members who fit this mold to a T. OP is the troll that starts all the threads with all his “Famous People” list. But I did go to experts and their classroom textbooks for students of psychology and psychiatry.

I loved the show “Veep” but I could not stand that guy Jonah, the White House aide. quoteIt didn’t sink the show, but it never made any sense as to why they brought Pamela Adlon on The Facts of Life. I never got interested in him as a character. I didn’t really understand why the Howard Sprague character was on The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry RFD. Plus it seemed like the character was supposed to be infatuated with Jo (she clearly despised Blair almost out of jealousy ). Her character was just kind of there for a couple of episodes then wasn’t mentioned again.

He’d been Frank’s doctor for years and also a family friend. I think I recall that Nancy had found some jewelry in Frank’s car’s glove compartment that she thought was for her. I loved hearing Nancy Sr talk about Frank inviting his girlfriend Marilyn Maxwell to a party in their home before they were divorced. I loved Tina talking openly about the Joe Kennedy to Sinatra to The Mob connection about the JFK election shenanigans. I loved the 2 part Sinatra documentary.

  • I watched that all the time around the same time.
  • R140 Enchanted April is one of my favorite films.
  • Most of us are reasonable people who don’t forget we have loved and likely still love the person from whom we must separate.
  • The children look average no better or worse than the three kids Angelina birthed.
  • quoteDirector was ahead of their time.

She deservedly won the NY Film Critics award for it that year, but that was the only major award the film received. Yeah, you know I’d even add the despised James Woods in Videodrome as giving a great performance. For some reason I thought her was egregiously overlooked since it’s a foreign film (and an amazing one at that). Speaking of which, Christine Lahti should have been nominated as well. While I love Prince of Tides, it’s VERY hammy.

I have a family member who is fairly professionally accomplished. This is one reason many people don’t like them. Remember that story about how he had his teachers’ help completing his art project for his A levels? I hope the book also lays out how stupid Harry is.

Famous people with Borderline personality disorder/BPD

Most BPD problems are real life problems that take time to understand AND verify. quote The disorder got in my mind and said, you know, things like ‘If she his wife hangs up the phone one more time, I’m going to break something.’” Some people never really individuate and accept that a care-giver (lover, partner, child, etc.) deserves to have their own needs that might conflict with the disordered one. While this thread focuses on ‘famous people’, we’re all in the boat. Every male character just HAD to fall head over heels in love with her. They focused on Don’s family life plenty before Megan.

THEATRE GOSSIP #553- “You’ve Left a Void In My Heart Bigger than Lindsay Mendez’s Absences” Edition

Not informing a man’s own children that he was rushed to the hospital and is about to die is unconscionable. In recent medical emergencies, my sister and I had been alerted—but not this time, not even by Vine, who’d been left behind at home. I will live with the guilt of not being there for the rest of my life.

The toughness of the grain of the story goes soft and porous toward the end. When the children find sanctuary in the home of a little old lady who befriends orphans, the idea comes across. For the evolution of the melodrama, after the threatened, frightened children flee home, angles off into that allegorical contrast of the forces of Evil and Good.

It was at the very top of the news for ten seconds and then there was a much longer story about the shootings over the weekend. The UN is not in session, it’s mid-July and hotter than hell in NYC and nobody of interest is speaking. The way he has treated his family – especially the Queen – is disgraceful. quote”There were a lot of empty seats. They could have brought in the seat fillers just to fill those seats. At what point does Harry miss his mates and realize how miserable his life is?

It’s hard to scare people and make them laugh. The academy disdains horror and comedy performances. The Academy really undervalues a great comic performance. Paul Dooley for his wonderful comedic performance as Dennis Christopher’s Dad in “Breaking Away” Happiness definitely deserved nominations but the film is quite unsettling so maybe it just was too much for Academy voters. John Huston should have been nominated for Chinatown.

  • I heard a movie reviewer who interviewed Fonda and her Book Club sequel costars say that Jane was absolutely gorgeous in person.
  • The role was never “so small” as the poster I responded to at r221 suggests.
  • This process takes time and it’s why the international release of books comes months (sometimes even a year) later.
  • Judd Hirsch was miscast as the therapist in Ordinary people.
  • Yes Bells has some other nice songs but those two became standards that most people knew if they had never even heard of Bells are Ringing.

Great film performances that shockingly were not Oscar nominated

Oupppss she was nominated, sorry. I felt like the whole cast deserved a nomination. The woman who played Christy was so moving in her ability to convey wariness and a history of past abuse (that did her no good in the end). But the whole cast really was top-notch. Guinevere Turner, in the same film, as one of Bateman’s nasty ex-girlfriends, was hilariously funny and nailed the type completely. I do agree that his previous roles with Waters (or elsewhere) were largely schlock, if classic, immortal schlock.

Los plugins de la Tienda de creadores tienen un precio en la moneda del mundo real

She’s worked in tv and film as much as any other actress on Broadway, if not more so. No one cares about The Apple Tree, which was not a financial success, and it was not a surprise she wasn’t nominated. She was never intended to be a main character. She was a guest on Glee, not a main character. To say that everything was fine until the accident is not true and does a disservice to the posters on this thread that know better. The Apple Tree gave her the best reviews of her career and she wasn’t nominated for the Tony.

What’s a really good movie no one really talks about?

‘If I had all the water in the world, I’d give all the water to you…’ (You won’t get that quote, but he will. And for Father’s Day, that’s all that matters).” Yes, we color them with nuance and add subtext to the writing, but at the end of the day I can hide behind the character. I have made a career of saying other people’s words for a living and making them sound believable. quote After leaving that unhappy scene Kate decided to make amends. quote That disagreement was followed by an argument about the length of Charlotte’s hem. What is a recurring theme in the book – at least the half that I’ve completed – is how many women, and men, were “reduced to tears” by Megs cunt from Hell demeanor.

The trick to an iconoclastic life is to not lose your nerve, but most everyone who lives too long loses their nerve. The great man lost his will to divorce her around the time he became a republican supporter and all his other secrets came out. She was some kinda beautiful broad who loved sex, but could never be desired enough to satisfy her rage and insecurities.

New Picture of Beyonce and her Fug Children

R247, what’s even funnier is that the ebook version has already been released in Australia. The book was ever on Barnes and Noble because it’s not yet for sale in the US. We are now an official thread! Their is now a delay in the release of book and the publishing house is furious as so many copies were already printed. R236 Of Bower has the receipts for everything he put in the book, he’s an old school investigative journalist.

DLers follows these threads. Of course she’s going to try to make it sounds like her life / father is just the bestest in her vapid blog. It’s possible Meghan feared him being unpredictable around Harry and the chicken road 2 royal family.

Brilliantly acted and filmed in one continuous take, it is about as tense and anxiety-inducing as the best thrillers. A Dark song is the closest thing to real magic I’ve ever seen in film. It’s one of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen and I barely hear anybody talk about it

quote That Donna Love! quote What was the best catfight on ATWT? Felicia thinks it would ruin her man-hungry image if people knew she had taken that walk on the wild side after she fell off the wagon. R45 The mistake of my life.

Thank God Sigourney Weaver was nominated for Aliens. Maybe not exactly Oscar-worthy but they both had a difficult job pulling off what they had to do in that film and they did a great job. You always believe she’s terrified for her life.

She would get all details, access to the Queen meeting Archie for the first time, and access to Archie’s christening. Wow so according to the book the reason why there was so much mystery around Archie’s birth was the Meghan and Harry and signed an exclusive deal with Oprah. For the last fucking time Tom Bower has CONFIRMED Revenge will be published in the US later this year. Perhaps he was speculating about what color their future children would be? R314 As has already been explained by others yes the book is going to be published globally at a future date. I live in neither the USA nor the UK and I am reading the book as we speak.

I’ve just never warmed to Meryl Streep’s daughter Louisa Jacobson on “The Gilded Age” as the main character, Marian. That character had extremely traditional taste in men. He was used too many times to “magic” the Winchesters out of situations when Cas was sidelined.
